After a nine day layoff the Reapers were finally back in action on Wednesday against the Aurora Christian Eagles. Plano (3-4) split a doubleheader with AC, losing the first game by a score of 3-1 and winning the nightcap 6-4.

The Reapers got a great pitching performance in Game 1 from Cody Dryden. Costly errors and untimely hitting did the Reapers in. Dryden pitched all 5 innings giving up 3 runs (only 2 of which were earned) on 3 hits, 5 strikeouts, and 1 base on balls. Trent Bowers and Luke Romano got the only hits for the Reapers in the game.

Game 2 saw a better result for the Reapers on another strong pitching performance, this time by Kyle Doney. Doney went all 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 4 free passes. Dryden came up big for the Reapers at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored, 2 home runs, and 5 rbi. Kelby Gann, Arian Herrera, and Bowers got the only other hits for the Reapers in the game.

The Reapers play again Monday at West Aurora High School. Come out and support your Reapers!
